Either through a donation, through time spent on helping with a fundraising event or simply by educating other people within the community about development issues, particularly education, you too can do your share to effect positive change within the global community.

All the money that is raised will go directly towards building the new school for the children as well as purchasing new educational equipment as per their needs.

CONGRATULATIONS!
5,000$ cheque donated to the Abhilasha School for the blind and handicapped

On July 25th, 2008, Zareen and Amena Ali, project coordinators for the Abhilasha Project, had the great privilege and honor of handing over a cheque in the amount of 5,000$ to Abdulla Yusuf, founder and President, of the Abhilasha school for the blind and handicapped.

A small ceremony was held for the occasion. In addition, a welcome address was made for all new and old staff members and teachers for their unwavering support and dedication to the school. The ceremony was followed by a Back-to-School Party for all the students where cake and sweets were distributed to all. Several students also took part in various cultural performances, such as traditional Indian dance and song with the help of their talented teachers, Jyoti Patel and Ramesh Kumar.
