Great news! The Abhilasha Project has been chosen as the Official Charity Partner for the SynesthASIA Charity Fashion Show for 2011.
SynesthASIA is a Montreal-youth based charity organization. They are “inspired by the artistic movement based on a neurological condition of cross-wired senses, “synesthesia”. Thus, the name of the organization, “SynesthASIA”, is a play on words to describe the artistic vision of the paramount event: an original fashion show featuring local Montreal designers and talent, with a different contemporary Asian flavour colouring each scene.
The group supports a different charity each year. This year, we are pleased to announce that all proceeds from the show will be donated to the Abhilasha Project in support of the education of children with disabilities in India. In the past, SynesthASIA has supported the Ashraya Initiative and the Medical Institute for Tamils.
The Abhilasha Project team is thrilled to be working with such a dynamic group of students and would like to thank the entire SynesthASIA team for their dedication and support.
