
November 2010 – The Abhilasha Project is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Centre for Global and Community Service Partnership Fund.
“Established in collaboration with the Annual Fund of the University of Ottawa, the Partnership Fund allows uOttawa student groups with a humanitarian mission to take advantage of the University’s fundraising knowledge and resources in order to develop long term relationships with donors and raise awareness for their cause within the University’s various networks.”1

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR DONORS
3 EASY payment options
1- ONLINE DONATION
For those donors who would like to receive a tax receipt on their online donations they must donate through the following website:

a- Click on the Give online option on the right-hand side of the screen and follow the instructions.
b- In the Gift Designation field, select “Other Project or initiative” and type “The Abhilasha Project”
2- BY CHEQUE
In order to receive a tax receipt on your donation, please make sure to write all cheques payable to University of Ottawa with a memo at the bottom of the cheque to the Abhilasha Project in order for the funds to be directed to the appropriate account.
Tax Receipts will be issued by the University of Ottawa on behalf of the Abhilasha Project and mailed to the donors directly.

3- BY CASH
Tax receipts can be issued for any cash donation of $20 or more. The tax receipt will be issued directly by the University of Ottawa and sent to the appropriate donor.

Donations through the Friends of the University of Ottawa
If you are not or were not enrolled at the University of Ottawa, nor any of your family members were (spouse, child, parent, grandparent, or sibling), you may make a donation through the Friends of the University of Ottawa to be eligible for a charitable tax deduction on your United States income tax return.
The Friends of the University of Ottawa is an independent charity organized in the United States that works to advance the University by supporting special projects approved by its board of directors.
To qualify for a United States charitable contribution tax receipt, gifts to the Friends of the University of Ottawa must be unconditional. You may, if you wish, make a recommendation on how your gift will be used to advance the University.
To take advantage of this option, please make your check payable to “Friends of the University of Ottawa”.*
*Make sure to mention that you are interested in funding the Abhilasha Project for the money to be directed to the appropriate account!
